Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Academics
Conduct theory and practical classes for undergraduate (MBBS, BDS, Nursing) and postgraduate (MD Microbiology) students.
Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory demonstrations.
Supervise students during laboratory work and guide them in their academic projects.
Research and Publications
Initiate and lead research activities in the field of microbiology.
Publish original research work in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
Encourage students to engage in research and assist in their project execution.
Clinical Responsibilities
Collaborate with clinical departments for infection control and microbiological diagnostics.
Ensure quality standards in the microbiology laboratory, including testing and reporting.
Participate in antimicrobial stewardship programs and hospital committees.
Administrative Duties
Assist in curriculum planning and syllabus development.
Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and seminars.
Take part in student mentorship, evaluation, and examination processes.
Professional Development
Stay updated with advancements in microbiology and medical education.
Participate in professional development activities, conferences, and workshops.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Qualifications:
MD (Microbiology) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
Experience:
Prior teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
